This certificate guarantees the item’s origin and identity as represented on our website, providing peace of mind with every acquisition.
II. Bespoke Third-Party Authentication Service
For clients requiring the highest level of independent assurance, we offer a dedicated service to coordinate external, third-party authentication:
Expert Partners: We work with reputable, recognized third-party authenticators worldwide, but are also happy to work with the client’s counterparty of choice to manage the verification process.
Process: We handle all logistics, correspondence, and submission of the object to the external expert.
Fees Structure: The total cost for this service will depend on the object (e.g., size, medium, and required expert). De Middel will charge the client the actual cost of the third-party expert’s fee.
Service Charge: De Middel will charge a 10% service fee to cover the administration, logistics, and handling of this specialized service, with a minimum charge of £50 per item. This fee is separate from the third-party expert’s valuation fee.
