CARLO NASON

1960’s ” LS-120″ MODEL

£7,500

A beautiful and rare Mid-Century Modern pendant lamp, the LS-120 Chandelier, designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in Murano, Italy, circa 1960. This is the large four-piece stacked version of the design (unlike the smaller three-tier version). It is crafted from thick, textured Pulegoso glass, known for its opaque texture due to controlled internal air bubbles.

I am drawn to the extraordinary texture and internal luminescence of Pulegoso glass, which gives this chandelier a high, organic emotional charge. It is a spectacular example of Murano artistry from the period. We see this as a statement Architectural Element that casts a unique, atmospheric light, celebrating the craft of Venetian glass-blowing and Nason’s masterful eye for form. Its size makes it a foundational focal point for any room.
